Hi,

We’re 3 weeks out from the REI Bar Camp. I hope you’ve RSVP’d. If you haven’t, you’ll want to after you hear about our keynote speaker.

I met Matt Skinner at a real estate syndication event about 4 months ago. What impressed me about Matt was his rapid rise from the construction industry to builder to real estate developer and syndicator, doing very large projects now that are definitely not for the faint of heart (8 figures).

Matt’s a leading real estate entrepreneur in Southern California and currently serves as Director and CEO of Twelvestone Group, Inc. a private equity group that specializes in value-add apartment buildings and development projects.

Matt’s firm owns and operates cash-flowing apartment assets in Texas, Arizona, and California. He is currently developing a $50M project in Newport California as well as several other luxury homes in the LA area.

Matt started in the trenches (literally) working in construction and went on to build an award-winning construction company and private equity firm. He started in real estate after attending a workshop where he was introduced to wholesaling houses. Since then he has flipped dozens of homes and developed multi-family, shopping centers, and luxury homes.

He’s also owned and operated over 1,000 apartment units.

You can find Matt’s education programs at Deal Maker Society and his private equity firm at Real People Real Returns.

Second Annual REI Bar Camp

Do you have a burning question about real estate investing but don't know who to ask?

What if I brought the Bay Area's most successful real estate investors together in one room?

And they're ready to answer all of your questions?

Now is your chance! RSVP now (while there's still room) to the 2nd annual REI Bar Camp.

The concept of a bar camp is kind of like an “unconference” – no formalized presentations. Instead, bar camp participants decide the topics to be discussed at the bar camp, and then real estate investing pros lead discussions about those topics.

You get unfettered access to very successful real estate pros.

It’s a dynamic way to learn and share information and experience.

Sound good? Register for this free event here

It’s August 13.

Post: Looking for a True Turnkey Real Estate Flip?

Hi Immanuel, I'm looking for property in South Bend. Wholesale deals we have a crew already. If you find any that would be good rentals please email me @ [email protected] or call 925.852.8261

Hi, I’m excited to start this Meetup! I want to share as much as I can with you about real estate investing, hard money lending, and putting deals together to get your real estate projects off the ground and profitable.

For our very first Meetup, I want to interview “Mr. Probate” himself, Gary DiGrazia. Gary has been selling real estate in Alameda County, CA since 1974, so he knows real estate very very well.

However, his real passion lies in his specialty: real estate flipping, listing, and selling probate properties.

There is only one problem: He lives in Northern California, and you don’t.

But I think it’s really important that you hear what he has to say. So I’m setting up a special online event where you can watch us talk about probate real estate.

Join us live on December 10, 2015 at 7pm. Details to follow in email (so watch for email from me).

You don’t want to miss this.

I am very excited to have Steve as our presenter at our next Meetup. Please see below for an overview of his presentation. We will also have needs and wants, introductions and "speed networking".

“MANAGING THE RISKS OF

THE FLIPPER & THE PRIVATE LENDER”

A DISCUSSION OF BEST PRACTICES

H. Steve Clark, RCI, CDT

President - Construction Inspection Specialists

Mr. Clark has been in the construction field for the past forty years and his breadth of experience ranges from small residential development to multi-million dollar highway and bridge construction projects. Steve is both a licensed California General Engineering and General Building Contractor, a Registered Construction Inspector, a Construction Document Technologist, OSHA certified safety trainer and instructor and has sat on the boards of several national construction associations.

This experience has provided him with insights into those portions of construction and construction lending that present the most amount of risk if one is not managing that risk strategically. He has been providing these risk management services to commercial construction lenders nationally for the past sixteen years. For the past several years, Steve has brought, and has offered his risk management expertise to the Private Lending Industry and has been warmly embraced by all that have had the benefit of his consultations. One of Steve’s favorite statements to his clients is: “if it’s Gray, You Will Pay”. He can explain this to you at the presentation.

Join us for an evening discussing those best practices to strategically manage the risk that you as a flipper or private lender encounter on most every deal without even being aware of it.

Hi Bigger Pockets community: My name is Beau Eckstein and I am the Marketing Manager for LHJS Investments LLC. LHJS Investments us a management company managing several funds, specializing in hard money and construction loans for all of California. I am an active investor and like to partner with architects and builders. I host an investor meet-up group in Walnut Creek, CA.

If you are in northern California or the San Francisco Bay area, please contact me.

My company offers private money construction loans. Our niche includes financing 65% of the future value with approved plans. We also do seconds and GAP funding for flips and much more.

I am impressed and like this website because I am an investor who is interested in purchasing properties as well as flips and buy and hold. My focus for flip properties, would be high end properties in the San Francisco Bay Area. For the buy and hold properties, I prefer locations in northern California and northern Nevada.

I look forward to interacting with and getting to know the Bigger Pockets community.
