My wife and I moved from Portland two year ago back to my home state of MT to work with my dad who is an investor here. I currently work in property management in Helena but am considering future options in a faster paced market. Is there a need in Portland OR. (or cities like Portland) on the maintenance/turnover/handyman business side of the rental market? I want to remain close to the real estate investments world but would but want something more straight forward than property management. Here in MT finding solid help for almost anything is challenging; turnovers can be a bear simply because finding someone to handle labor like clean up, painting, minor maintenance, ect. gets expensive quick while dependability is rare.

So I am wondering if anyone out there sees a need for someone who has experience with rentals, including apartment turnovers and maintenance, in a lager city where expansion is happening in the residential market. I know many large complex's have on site maintenance teams, but there are bound to be smaller investors who need labors/maintenance technicians  who have a knowledge of investments.

Thoughts?

Hey David thanks so much for your response and the info. Just to clarify, the pushbuttonmethod.com is a website that feeds you leads for all kinds of properties or just specific kinds? And what are the ads you mentioned? Were they mostly leads in your area or anywhere? Thanks again for your response!

I am curious if anyone out there has any personal experience with Joe Crump and his approach to building a real estate inventory. If not personal experience does anyone know anything about how his program works, if it works or if he is another guru promising more than he can deliver. Any thoughts would be great as I am new to this world and just exploring what options are out there. Thank!
