Just stared reading Long Distance Real Estate Investing by David Greene and I want to survey all of you! 1. What city and state do you live in now? 2. Would you consider your market to be good for basic buy and hold rentals? Why or why not? 3. Are there other areas around you that could be profitable? Why or why not? I am based out of Kansas City, Missouri and I’m looking to start a database for myself on every state and cities within each state. Thank you for taking the time to help!

Hi guys, I am a 20 year old sophomore in college studying Accounting. I have about 20k to my name and I dabble in a fair amount of investing and stock trading. I can very easily invest the money I make and allow it to grow, however this mostly involves illiquid investments. I can invest in the stock market but the uncertainty right now has me a bit worried. I’m also well aware that I should not be concerned with market conditions when it comes to long term investing, but this poses a bit of a problem. Do I invest my money now and then liquidate when I have enough for my first down payment on a property or just save all cash and avoid the risk and illiquidity of certain investments?

Just started reading Long Distance Real Estate Investing by David Greene! Hopefully it gives some insight into how major players in the game invest in hot markets currently. I’d be interested to see how David explains how to start in specific areas in the country and maybe some more practical advice then just go out and do it and all of the motivational fluff.

Hey BP! I am a 20 year old aspiring real estate investor and I am currently a sophomore in college studying accounting. Ive always had a knack for business and it has led me straight here to BP. Ive read a ton of books and the only thing holding me back is capital. I analyze deals daily and have access to residential and commercial filters on the MLS. I have a great agent that has an investor mindset, but I lack many other good members on my team. Currently, my market here in Kansas City, MO is one that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to use hard money or private capital for residential long term buy and holds. I would love to meet some new investors in my area and maybe get a few helpful tips along the way!
