Post: Renting out home on FHA loan to help pay for mortgage?

So I'm qualifying for a mortgage for the first time.
The mortgage is $3500/month. I make $4000/month while I attend college. After I graduate with the combined income from my spouse, we would be making significantly more than the monthly payment.
Right now though we have not moved in together, and I'm finishing college before my higher paying career starts.
I was reading this, and it says that you cannot rent out an FHA mortgaged home until you've lived there for a year?

Yet I've read some conflicting posts saying that you can.
Reason being... renting could help pay for property taxes while I attend school.
