Hi All,

Has anyone worked with Hedge Funds for real estate investments?

If yes, what advice would you give me?

Thank you

Fellow BiggerPockets Friends,

This post is not a question for help or advice needed. its to share a great experience i recently had after struggling and stressing about the rehabs I've worked with and i am sure and hope that fellow rehabbers and contractors will find this helpful as well. after completing a couple of rehab projects in which most were delayed or were stressful enough and even the once that i had hired a contractor to do, i was introduced to THEROOMSTOCK.COM . doing a rehab we try to budget each dollar to get the most of our money's invested so we eliminate certain expenses that we can try to do on our own like a home designer and general contractors some times. however, on my recent project i figured i will give this a shot and my experience was beyond expectations. i actually used 1 of the designs for the bathrooms and took some other ideas for the kitchen and flooring, the order arrived in less than 2 weeks in perfect shape, professionally and reliable. the even greater part about this is, that i got the options to purchase the tools that is needed for installation as well, like, i got a list of the material i will need for the installation. i know prices and it was super compatible to the local stores. i think this is a genius idea and we all can benefit from this. i hope this helps.

Hi Royce,

I've had this experience in the past when trying to do a rehab buying material at the home depot or lows and especially that they are the most reasonably priced. on my last project i was introduced by a friend to theroomstock.com my experience was beyond, as you check it out, i was actually using one of their designs and plugged in my quantity that i was needing for the project. it got to me less than 2 weeks in perfect set. i was amazed, check it out, you purchase the fool room along with the tools needed. plus, prices are super compatible. pretty genius idea. i think im gonna start a post with this, im sure others can benefit as well.

@Gregory Hiban not entirely. I have done real estate in the past and as a NYC expeditor I have been involved I many deals and know what to loom after. My concern was that I got funding and do not have the power to invest in the area I know really well which is NYC but I would like to get to know other areas so I can invest my money in less difficult areas and sometimes even a better turn around but I do not have experience in those towns

@Gregory Hiban thank you. I need to connect with people with experience in those cities and towns. Being that I'm not familiar the first step is the hardest

@Steve Kontos thank you sir. I'll do that. I was thinking to connect with people in those cities and towns and maybe do some kind of deal so we both benefit of our experiences. Great idea

For the past while i have been looking for deals in my hometown NYC and was part in 1 deal as an equity investor. Now I'm looking to go solo with mostly my own money in different towns, being that NYC is to expensive for me to build my portfolio on my own. To whoever I have been talking to asking for advise and what to look for, i have kinda hit the dead end being that i dont know the outside cities like NJ, Pennsylvania, etc. How and where am looking and since I don't know the area now do I know that I won't be fooled? Ps. I'm looking for multi family rental properties or fix and flip

Thank you all in advance

Bernie
