Thank you everyone. @Bria Johnson I plan on signing up and attending the RIREIG meetings. I literally just missed the last one by a day or so.
@Benjamin Sulka Thank you for the kind words.
@Nathan Murith I really appreciate the warm welcome. I am still navigating and strategizing at the moment but I am mostly focusing on residential real estate for the time being. I have bought some houses in the past so I am most familiar in that space. I understand that buying-to-live vs buying-to-sell are different, I at least know what to expect a little more in that area.
@Justin Windham thanks for the link to the guides. Like I said, I am a sponge and taking everything in right now so that is very helpful.

My goals are to eventually use wholesaling to fund a fix and flip operation and try to grow from there. I have interest in flipping, wholesaling and STR (though I haven't done much research yet in STR).
I'm not in your market, but I'd be curious to see some deals when you nail them down. I look at 35+ deals on an average day. I generally buy from wholesalers.
Absolutely @Gene Livingston! I will keep you in the loop.

Thank you @Anthony Thompson. I have seen you around bigger pockets in the comments and I've been trying to absorb a lot of what you have to say. Your advice for people has been great to read. Thank you for your support to the rookies in the community. I have a feeling the Army is easier then real estate haha.

Hello everyone. As the subject states I am finally jumping into real estate in the Southern New England area! I am born and raised in Rhode Island, and real estate has been something I have always aspired to be involved in. Until now, I never felt like I knew were to start. Like many, I found out about wholesaling and really love the concept. I have been doing nothing but research since the moment I heard about it. I am literally a sponge. I have the drive. My goals are to eventually use wholesaling to fund a fix and flip operation and try to grow from there. I have interest in flipping, wholesaling and STR (though I haven't done much research yet in STR).
As a 21-year Army National Guard Veteran, I welcome the challenges that lie ahead! I am ready to get those one thousand "Nos" to get to that one "Yes" and build off of it. I currently have a great work-from-home job that offers amazing work/life balance and pays the bills. So I am not in a rush to leave it, but I am hoping to leverage that work/life balance to help grow a real estate business.
I am looking forward to getting to know some of you and am excited for the journey forward!
