In short, the answer is yes. 

The way it works is slightly more complicated. We allow 1031X into our Syndications as a TIC or Tennant in Common. The Syndication attorney structures the ownership organizational chart so that the 1031X Money is part of the ownership side alongside the GP or General Partnership rather than the LP or Limited Partner investors.
