I am an agent/investor in Austin, but I am originally from the Killeen area. I am looking to invest in SFH/MFH in the area. We should arrange a lunch/coffee meetup and discuss the area.

Great topic!
First, I set changed my financial mindset and established workable goals. Second, I paid off all debt and continue to live debt free. Third, I stopped spending money on consumption (anything that is not expected to grow in value). That is some thing that both you and @Silvestre M. both hit on. I love food and I love cars, so I just keep it within moderation. Lastly, having a group of like-mind people around me has helped me stay on track and accountable.
I read this quote and it kind of hit home. "Money spent is a personal testament--the receipts absolute proof of your priorities."
I think the hardest sacrifice for me was not allowing myself to spend money frivolously or impulse buy just because I can.
Bryan...mail sent
Jeff...I will sent you PM
@Sev Kamensky @Kyle Baer Welcome guys!
@Diego Corzo I will be attending that meetup. Are you a part of the RENC?
@Chris Marroquin I would be interested in attending a networking event. I will PM you for details, cool?
Thanks Brian!
Essentially, I am looking for a place to hang my license. While shopping for brokers in the area I have found that most want me to sell RE. Also, either they discourage me from doing personal transactions or limit my personal transactions to two per year.
What's going on BP?!
My name is Chris from Austin, TX. I have been hanging around BP for awhile, but never introduced myself.
I recently returned back to Austin after working overseas for the past few years. I spent a lot of my time devoted to learning about real estate, whether it be from books, articles, or this invaluable site. I believe that with this site's resources and help from the community I will be a successful RE investor.
I will have my RE license by the end of the year. Not only am I looking to personally invest, but I am also looking forward to providing resources to other investors to help close their deals.
I love Austin and am looking forward to finding my niche in this crazy market.
P.S. I am looking for a investor-friendly broker or a flat-free broker. If anyone knows of any in the Austin area please feel free to contact me.
