Sounds like you have the right idea for retirement.

If you have the resources, I would suggest purchasing lower end single family houses (15-30k). These houses need a little work and once you finish, I would hand them off to a management company.

Save a percentage for repairs and updates.

HI Dave,

German Village is an island. There are extremely nice spots surrounded by a moat of rough areas.

Zestimates do not consider "environments" more than a calculation of sales.

I would drive around the areas and check out the upkeep of properties and neighborhood.
