Hello everyone.

I am semi-new to the REI field, and have joined this site to get serious and started on an REI business.

I am an accidental landlord from a house we could not sell during the real estate downturn after moving for a new job.  After losing lots of money failing to sell, we moved to renting it out instead, and it has been both invigorating and fun.  Since then, I've wanted to get into the rental investing business for the long haul, but didn't know where to start.

The itch has finally gotten strong enough (and I've gotten buy-in from my better half) that I've started actively looking around to learn and start finding opportunities instead of just talking about it.  I came across this site, and have started reading up on all the inner details of doing it "for real".  Some of it is familiar (like topics dealing with the actual managing of tenants), while pretty much anything else is new.  My immediate interest is in multi-family units in eastern MA and surrounding areas, and learn exactly what I need to look for and do to get going.

Thanks, I look forward to learning more and meeting you here at BP, and getting it all off the ground!
