Post: Rookie in need of assistance with finding a local Agent

Husband & I are both working two full-time jobs, saving for a multi-family, planning to purchase in January of 2023.

The agent we took a tour with previously tried to sell us on a house that was deemed "Defective" on plumbing, electricity, foundation, flooring, insulation, and everything else. Found out by asking for full inspection paperwork (only knew ask due to previously being a roofer).

Overall, I have trust issues, and I'm not sure how to network to find "The Right" agent for us.

Any recommendations?
