I grew up in Akron / Cleveland and am now living in NYC, seeking to invest long distance in the Northeast Ohio market either on my own or by partnering with someone local. Would be great to connect with anyone in the market who can share their experience or who is interested in a JV.

New long distance investor that grew up in NE Ohio seeking to make multi-family investments in the Cleveland/Akron area. A few questions for those in the area: 1) Any key brokers I should meet from the area? 2) Who are the most reliable property management firms in the area? One additional question for anyone: 3) What are the key cost items you include in your multi-family valuation model? I've reviewed a number of P&Ls from properties in the area and it seems like some expenses (e.g. insurance) are missing from some properties, so want to make sure I evaluate everything apples to apples.
