I am a Canadian investor but I’m asking this question for my sister who lives and owns a farm in Ocala Florida.
My sister’s neighbour is selling her farm and I am trying to show my sisters options on how to buy the farm. I told her to sell her farm to her corporation and do a 1081 exchange to buy the farm beside her. She is renting land from this farm being sold so it will be a big inconvenience if she losses that. She dose not want to use investors to help buy this property.
Her farm is successful but I do not know the financial exactly. But the farm being sold is 1.1 million and has a huge main house with an apartment on top of the barn.
Her farm is property worth over 500k and I think she needs to buy the farm next door to help her expand her business.
If anyone in that area has any suggestions of mortgage broker that deal in these types of situations in the area that would be great
