Thanks Paul. I financed the property through a private lender, the loan is in the name of the LLC.

My operating agreement states that I have authority to sign on behalf of the LLC. My concern with not signing "on behalf of...." was that if a tenant would sue at some point, they could use a document such as this and say that I wasn't signing on behalf of the LLC and thus personally owned the home. Not sure if that makes sense, thanks for the help!

My wife and I recently closed on a 5 unit building and purchased the property through an LLc that we own. My question is, does it matter how we signed the documents at closing? Each document had the LLC name above where we signed and then we signed our name underneath it. For all the leases with tenants, etc. we have signed our name followed by "on behalf of xyz LLC, as a member". I'm just wondering from a legal perspective if we should have signed differently on the closing documents as well? Also- would appreciate any referrals for attorneys/lawyers in the Cincinnati area. Thanks!
