What are some guidelines for low income tenants with less that desirable work or incarceration history?We just finished a 12 unit apartment building in a small town in Ohio. This is our first time working with low income renters and my partners are unsure what kind of histories are ‘tolerable’ and which are deal breakers. Like some one with a felony 18 years ago?What about if someone lies about a prior job on their application but their current job is verifiable? I feel that there is likely a certain level of understanding we must have for these types of applicants. But anyone have any guidance on specifics? Or what to watch out for?
