Can anyone offer insight to someone who is interested in breaking into the real estate industry. Currently, I am learning as much as I can about real estate by reading books and listening to podcasts but would ideally like to learn more in a "hands on" role. I'm not necessarily looking for a mentor, but rather a career in real estate which would allow me to learn by doing.

Not sure if this is the appropriate forum as I'm still getting the lay of the land, but I'd love to hear some feedback from people who consider themselves to be more introverted. From an outsider, it seems the real estate industry is dominated by "big" personalities, and as someone who has some trouble conversing with strangers I'm wondering if this industry just isn't for me...
Hi Ivan...I live in Hoboken and grew up in Westfield.
Spent the first 7 years of my professional career stuck in a cubicle and I've come to the realization that I don't want to spend the of my life sitting in front of a computer screen from 9-6 everyday. Signed up for biggerpockets because I'm interested in learning more about the real estate market, hopefully I can find something more worthwhile to do professionally. Interested in learning more about rehabbing houses, particularly from people who do some of the "dirty work" themselves...
