Due to all the homeless or unhoused people in Oakland it is hard for Oakland to take care of issues with people.

Needless to say, property tax is not giving a break so are other things such as utilities bills and repairs.  My suggestion is to get property management to mange your tenants, to collect rent, eviction, etc.  If you do sell property I would not buy in Alameda county with current rent control and restrictions but, if you do stay with Alameda county then get property management.   Once boarder are gone make sure you get people who are very well screened by property management so you will have a stress free win/win condition.
