Anything one can do to get a more targeted list when low on funds is a smart play if the time investment isn't too great per property. It sounds like checking google maps/street view is a time efficient strategy.
I'm also wholesaling in SD, If you run across a deal shoot me a message and I'll let you know if any of my buyers are interested.
Thanks Jahvin , I have 2 list of absentee owners with about 8000 properties . I research about 20 properties at a time, then send letters. Send me a Pm , I would like to discuss wholesale in our area.

Try click2mail.com to send mass letters.
Thanks Grant , I am looking into that now
It has been about 3 weeks since I discovered wholesaling. So far, I have recieved 2 absentee list from a title company for 2 cities in North County San Diego. Each day at my 9-5, I use Google maps and Zillow to evaluate the property. Then send out a letter to the owners to buy. I have sent out about 20 letters no response as of yet. Doesn't matter I just keep cranking out more letters. Today I am going buy more stamps , envelopes, and legal pad.So I write more letters every free moment I get. I'll will keep you posted and my results. Feel free to leave feedback and advice.
I greatly appreciate it

Hi my name is Cameron
New to Real Estate, Bigger Pockets and California
I decided that one of the best ways to build wealth was real estate. I recently started doing a lot of research on wholesaling because of my not so good credit and low funds. I received my first absentee owner's list from my local title company and evaluating each property. My next step will be narrow the list down and begin to market to these absentee owners. I will document my journey here as much as I can.
