Wayne,

I'm not sure about your state laws, but in Florida, if a Medicaid recipient move to a nursing facility, the house is no longer their primary residence and therefore they lose the exemption. If they sell the house, the proceeds must be used to pay the nursing facility first, then Medicaid will pay once all the persons funds are depleted. There are way around this but it would require an estate planning attorney.

@Michael TierneyThanks for the advice. I think I can do most of the work needed by myself and if it's something I can't do, I have a few contractors that have worked well for me in the past.

@Kyle H.Thanks for the advice. I'm currently in Burnsville so I can definitely look outside of the Asheville metro area.

@Jason BowersI will have time next week to talk. I'm open to new ideas.

I appreciate the advice. Thanks

Thank for taking the time to read this. I'm new to the Asheville area and want to start flipping houses. I have about 30k to start with. I have only flipped 2 houses prior and both were cash in Fl.

Any suggestions on the desired areas are? Is 30k even enough for Asheville?

I'm also looking for wholesalers and realtors to work with to find properties.

Thanks

Carl

I'm new to this site as well as new to flipping houses. I have done 2 flips in Fl. but we now are moving to Asheville and I am looking for advice on areas, financing and any other information that someone would think would be helpful.

I have construction experience and have some trade contacts in the area.

Thanks!

Carl
