Patricia,

The reason I ask where the home is located because they have some tough judges in N LV. I hope he doesn't sue you, but if he does it will cost him at least $150 to file, and it will cost you to answer, and if you hired him to know he not licenses you, and him could get a ticket, and if you win you will not be able to get blood out of a turnip, but if he wins he can cloud the title to the home, and a labor lien is a tough lien to bond around or get rid of without paying to get the lien remove. Judges in Clark's county are not happy when people offer service that is not licensed and people that hire them.

Patricia,

Would you like to name the store so others will not fall in the trap?

Patricia,

I don't know what store you went to, but you should mark it off of your list. He could sue you in small claims court, and he want need a lawyer to do that. Did you take pictures of the work? He did wrong?

Patricia,

Did you have a written agreement by the contractor stating what he was going to get paid what he was supposed to do?

Jim,

Hedge funds will sell to anyone who has cash and can close in a hurry that do not require contingency. Chances you will be paying fair market price.

Sam,

You might have scared him with a much tighter lease. If he was paying like clock work before you bought the property you should have left everything in place.
