@Mark Munson I 100% agree. I do plan to start investing and in the meantime want to continue to learn from seasoned vets! The Bigger Pockets community is a wealth of knowledge and grateful for those that have taken the time to respond to my question. I appreciate the straight forwardness and will write down these tips so I can be better. Again, thank you for taking the time to respond. It is greatly appreciated.

@Joe Funari I am currently working on building my network so that I can be an asset for not only myself in the future but clients that choose to work with me. I love meeting new people and creating relationships in different industries. I have learned that even though Salt Lake is a large city, it is quite small when it comes to networking, which I enjoy. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me (and a little piece of SLC). I will be adding these to my list of things to learn/retain. Have a wonderful day!

@Daniel Vineis I really like how you said you sometimes give out an unattainable number just to see if they are paying attention. It's unfortunate so many people just agree to please rather than look out for their clients best interest. I know I am not for everyone and that's ok! Thank you for those 3 tips to keep in mind. I am going to add them to my notes and I thank you for taking the time to provide your opinion!

@Jason Wray your prospective is greatly appreciated! I do like getting know what what my clients want and that not everyone is the same. I agree communication is huge (with anything in life). I think when everyone is on the same page, it saves a headache. I am going to put this feedback in my notes to refer back to. Thank you again, I greatly appreciate it.

I am in no way asking for business but rather for your opinions, thank you!

My question: When you are looking for an agent to work with, what are qualities you look for and want? I ask because I would like to work with investors but I would like to understand how to be an asset when that time does come.

Background: I am a real estate agent with property management experience. I would like to invest in the future but no deals under my belt. I have been a homeowner before and flipped my house, but that was because I love projects.

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

Hello everyone! I'm excited to join this group as a new real estate agent transitioning from 2 years of experience in property management. After working on the management side, I'm thrilled to take on new challenges in real estate and I'm eager to connect, learn, and grow within this field with everyone.

I'd love to connect with other women in the Salt Lake/Utah/Weber/Davis county areas! I think there is so much value in having a supportive network, so I'm looking to set up a monthly lunch for us to exchange ideas, tips, and encouragement. If you're interested please feel free to reach out and lets make this happen. I look forward to meeting amazing people in this community!!

For my question for anyone willing to share: What are some networking or marketing strategies that have worked well for you in building a client base as a new agent?
