Any investors/ property owners in Charleston/Summerville/Mt Pleasant looking for an inexpensive handyman to handle small jobs at your properties? I have multiple years of experience handling maintenance requests for a 264 unit student housing complex. I’m looking to get more experience with rehabbing properties so I know what to look for and what I can handle myself when purchasing rental property.

Could you not just purchase something from a family/friend that YOU HIGHLY TRUST and once the 18K has cleared and they withdraw the cash you sell them something back? It removes the "buying from myself" sketchiness?

I have a rental that was originally my primary residence. In SC, once the property is no longer owner-occupied taxes increase from 4% to 6%. Should I continue to hold this property as a rental or should I sell and use the equity to buy something else. I attached the before and after taxes pictures below.

Before.......

After......... :-(
