@Joe Scaparra Hi Joe! Can I pick your brain too over some coffee? I just bought my first home in Avery Ranch but trying to figure out the best strategy to use this house to buy more.
I want to personally move closer to the Domain as well, so hoping to find a condo or duplex there that has potential appreciate fast, make rental income, and that I can also live in 😊 thanks!!

Hi! My other thread was getting long. I am wondering what are some of the best communities/buildings to purchase either a condo or apartment in? I am looking to move to around the Domain area or to closer to downtown Austin. Looking for somewhere with less fees but a vibrant community and amenities (HOA fees are super high i heard?) + good appreciation potential. Thanks for helping!

@Aaron Gordy hi Aaron! Yes some mortgage referrals will be great! Where exactly at the domain do you recommend with the appreciation potential?
I am actually looking to move myself closer to the domain/downtown , and get a roommate to live there with me. The the roommate rent + the rent from my current house (once i rent it out) to help pay off my mortgage for the new place . Is that a good strategy?

@Bryan Noth Hi thanks for the advice! is the Zilker/soco area good for rentals?
I am actually looking to move closer to downtown or the domain because I like the environment.. so short term rental could be out of the plan then. Will an apartment or condo be better? I heard HOA fees are high.. Thinking about using my current house in north austin to pay for a new place near downtown - and use the rental income to pay off both places.

@Jordan Moorhead
I have some - but if I use it I will need to pay it back so I don’t want to use too much right?

Hi I am looking for insights on best locations to invest in near downtown Austin, that will get me a good return from renting or Airbnb.
Also how do I use equity from my current home to purchase a new place? I just bought my first single family home in Avery Ranch, and looking for strategies to use this home to buy more properties. I am still a newbie to this, thanks for the help!
