@Marshall White I want to replace the personal loan with one with a lower rate as soon as possible. And I need a bit more money to finish and I bought the place FAR under what it is worth.

I took out a personal loan to buy my first rental and now that I am almost finished with the repairs, is there any way to refinance the loan or get a new loan with better terms? (The building had about 30k at time of purchase)

Hey all,
I closed on my first rental property a few days ago, a 5 unit (1br1bath each) in a state college town. Now I'm looking for some pointers as I move forward to get it rented to some students and how to maximize my return.

I do plan on living in this property for at least a year. I have been doing a lot of asking around, but the people in my circle are very limited on knowledge about the 203k. Dominic, I will reach out by the middle of next week if I haven't found anything. Thank you.

I found a great duplex and I really want to use an FHA to buy the property, however the property is close to 100 years old and won't pass the qualifications for the standard FHA. The home isove in ready and the seller said they are willing to work with a FHA 203k, but I'm having trouble finding a reputable lender. Please advise.
