Hey guys, I'm Chance.  I'm 23 years old and have been living in Los Angeles since August of 2011.  I'm originally from central Texas, but moved out here to work in the film industry 4 and a half years ago.  I'm currently a production assistant working on the TV show Bones and have been working as a PA for a little over 2 years now.

I really don't have any sort of background in real estate, but I'm wanting to learn everything I can about it.  I've been looking over this site and reading every article I could find for the past week or so and made the decision to join.  Hoping that I can meet some great people on here and learn the business from the ground up.

Current goals....This is tough because I don't know exactly where to start, but my main goal right now is to have a source of income unrelated to my current job.  I would love to learn about buying and renting out places.  A duplex seems like a good place to start, but I could be totally wrong and I'll happily take suggestions from anyone on here.  I don't have the funds to go out and buy a place outright, this is all new to me...But here I am, ready to learn
