Thatcher is a difficult market. It is also a small college town. There are a lot of houses for rent, and the houses that are for sale, are very over priced.

Thanks everyone for your posts! I am so excited to get to know more people here on BP! @Scott E. I would love to invest in Tucson or Phoenix. Realistically, Thatcher doesn't hold much investing opportunity. Its just commuting and accessibility that I am concerned with at this time. Excited to get to know more about investing and hopefully get to know more of you all around the community. 

Hey all! I am excited to become an active member of BP. My name is Chantel Allen. I live in a small town called Thatcher (3 hours outside of Phoenix), and with no real job opportunities, I really began to do some research. I have been a preschool teacher for 8 years, and although I love what I do, there's no retirement or security in that field. I read 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad' which peaked my interest on real estate investing and here I am. Every day I am reading investing books, listening to podcasts, and researching all over the web. Though I feel completely overwhelmed, I am excited for this journey.
