I live in New York City and have yet to start my real estate path. I am hoping to become a full time investor but i don't feel confident enough. I thought about buying & renting but what i really want to do is flipping-- i am just not entirely sure where to start. One of the problems im having is researching an area; How do i know where to focus my search without spending hours/day/weeks looking at every neighborhood? Is research on zillow/realestate.com etc. enough? How do i make sure that a property is good for flipping and not renting? Should I first look for a lawyer? agent?

I've read the books but im just that kind of person that need a little shove from someone who know and has done it before. I'd appreciate any help!
