@Barry Wong I work for a management company in Mississippi and there are always certain questions we are prepared to answer. From my experience working in management only for a few months, here are some questions I would ask.

What and how do we charge? This is always the most asked.

How many properties do you manage and in what area?

How do I request maintenance issues?

What software do you use to keep track of your business and operations?

How do you screen tenants and what are your requirements for tenants to rent a property?

What's your response time to maintenance requests?

How do you Holland process security deposits?

Do you up charge on maintenance?

Do you have in house maintenance?

These are just a few, I hope this helps!

As a novice in the real estate industry and property management, I found this post insightful. I am thinking of new ways to market and grow our property management company so reading this helps. I am curious, have you come across any successful growth tactics for a property management company related to marketing and or building relationships with clients? We want to capture the day to day activities that take place in property management (renovations, business calls, inspections etc...) but also provide educational content.

Welcome to BiggerPockets, Christopher!

 Thank you Julio!

Hi Everyone,

My name is Chris Colebank and I am a recent college graduate from Mississippi College. I found an opportunity to work for Trihelm Properties, a property management company locally owned and operated in Jackson MS. I am new to real estate, and my goals are to help Trihelm with business development and marketing. This involves a lot of content creation of recent projects (renovations, evictions, investments etc..) and building relationships with prospective clients. I am still learning the industry, but I am ready to soak in everything BiggerPockets has to offer!

If anyone knows a thing or two about building a brand through content creation/marketing, I am all ears. We want to capture the footage of what running a property management company is like, and provide as much value as possible, so if you have any ideas let us know! Can't wait to connect.
