Short term 100%. Eventually, if ewe enjoy it and it cash flows well, we want to add more STRs and even some long terms. I don't have a goal to be worth it. I want it to make enough money that I can bank roll that into more properties.

I was planning on doing a 10% down second home loan. Two options, 1, do it ourselves, 2 partner with another investor (likely family) to get a more ideal property for the first one which means spending more. Looking at a home to avoid HOAs and additional regulations for the most part.

Hello! My wife and I are at the point that we want to invest into real estate in the STR space. I want a less seasonal market but she wants to keep it close(ish) to home so Northern Michigan will likely be the landing spot. I have been a podcast listener and I have been in the analysis phase for awhile. We are ready to buy now, we just need the right opportunity to come along. Looking forward to learning more from investors and/or people that opt for markets with more seasonality like Michigan.
