WOW Folks!!! All I can say is thanks much for the warm BP reception. Best bet to not miss anyone is to give all round THANK YOU to everyone that has replied.

@Linval T--started with those links on proper posting etc and I definitely need to walk around this site a bit. Don't want to say how long it took me to get back to this particular forum. Need to drop bread crumbs to find my way back in this place ;-) 

@Nicole D--wifey and I are looking to create the same (rent free +), use working income and some additional $$ put away to hopefully do another within the year BUT have to secure number one first. Our sights are currently strictly in the Bx so if that's your play ground as well i'm sure we'll connect again.

Good Afternoon BP Forum,

Newbie from the Bklyn NY area. Looking to learn, grow and share in this community. After binging on BP Podcast the last few weeks and trying to learn the lingo, my wife and I have decided its time to engage :-)

Did a "House Hack" (New Lingo :-) several years back in Brownsville with a cousin and three of four apts took care of the mortgage. Allowed me to save and purchase in NJ. Short story long, don't see that happening now that I'm back in Bk.

We're currently on the hunt in Bronx NY--Brooklyn has gotten ridiculous it seems for those who don't want to subsidize their tenants to live with them. Da' Bronx seems to be on that same trajectory now too as we've noticed in the amount of permits being issued and all the formerly empty lots with construction barriers set up.

Hoping to exchange any creative ideas as we work the "get rich slow" plan.
