I work and live in the Baytown area. I have one of my rentals there also. I purchased it last year. It is 2006 construction, 3/2/2 1500sqft. And I get $1300 a month. HAR.com shows a few rentals in that area of town listed for lease. That range is from $1250 to $1550. So the comps may not be as far off as others might think.

I still have a W-2 job and do my REI on the side. I live off my regular income and save the cashflow from my rentals to fund my next property and build my real estate business. I am a teacher and can retire in 5 years. When I retire I will draw my retirement and work my REI fulltime.

Purchase 2 additional SFH rentals.

Finally be debt free. (with the exception of my mortgages). I had dug myself some serious holes in my younger years. It has been nice to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. My car will be paid off in Feb.

Take better care of my health. This is one thing I have taken for granted for to long.

Spend more time with family and friends. Life is short live it full.

Continue to learn and utilize the information and resourses available to continue my business to grow. BP has played a large role in this. Thank you to all of its members.
