Thanks for the encouragement and the tips!!! I'm stalking one property like a cheetah right now. I can't wait to see if I can settle in and make a good deal on this property. I'm listening to the podcasts constantly and I'm trying to gain all of the knowledge possible. This is both an exciting and nervous time. A start to a new career. Let's get this ball rolling!!!

Hello all,
I'm currently renting in a nice area in Virginia, and the house that I am renting is for sale. Now I have crunched numbers and honestly it would be a nice investment. Only problem. Its priced WAY to high. This would be my first investment property if I were to buy. Its about 250-300k more than surrounding houses that are larger. It is a 4 unit house with about 3100 sq. ft. I'm sure it is selling as an investment property but Jesus its still too high. I'd like to start the process with some tips if you guys might share any. I'm still living there. <--- Key point

Hello there everyone,
If you have taken the time to stop and look at this post, I am very greatful for the moments you spend reading and hopefully replying. I am fresh out of the military (US Navy), and I am currently working in the medical field. I was at a point hoping to become a doctor, but honestly the more I read into REI, I am turned to the business and finance route. I would like to do some investing soon. (I am reading and studying as much material on the matter that I can find.) Luckily I have found this site. I am wondering about areas I should look at and how I should go about investing. Also, any success stories, both from new and veteran investors, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time!!!
Best Regards,
Cody
