Hello,

I'm in the process if trying to buy a home with a 1 bedroom in-law suite with private entrance.  The house is played out perfectly for a rental and already has a small kitchen with stove (I didn't see a vent though).  How can I legally rent this out?  I was told I can't advertise it as an apartment because the house is zoned as a single family.

Hello,

I just moved to north NJ from Southern California and I'm trying to find more information about laws for building new ADU on a lot or coverting an existing unit like a barn or garage into a ADU.

I've looked online but not finding alot of information. Can anyone provide some insight about potential ADU issues?

Thanks,

Hello,

My wife and I currently live in southern California and as you can imagine the barriers to entry are quite high over here.  We are strongly considering moving to North Canton Ohio to be close to some relatives.  Is anyone investing in these areas?  I see houses for very low costs like 20k. But I would imagine they may not be the best units to start with because of potentially high turn over costs.  If anyone is doing deals in these areas I would love to hear about them.

Thanks in advance!
