Good morning Bigger Pockets,

For those successful and those striving towards success everyday. I have a few questions that I hope the community will be able to assist myself as well as other members of the community that are at the beginning of their long journey.

Like most of us who are starting out in the real estate investment realm I have little capital even less real estate experience and a full time job. Thankfully I am switching fields to a job in the real estate field that starts within the next few weeks. I will be a junior agent on a well established team in NYC.

Now that I am an independent contractor I am looking to start my own business as an agent. But I don't plan to stop as just an agent. In order to set myself up and not limit my business, which legal entity would you suggest and why?

Once I have my legal entity in place, I plan on bringing on a pro-bono accountant and lawyer. For some of the more experienced investors out there what are some of the interview questions you would ask when talking with these hired professionals?

I am all ears!

Thank you for the response. That was quite insightful!

@Lisa Lavie Congrats! I was just visiting Montreal and obviously i couldn't help but look at some of the prices and what the market rate for different properties were. I saw on your profile that you were looking at investing in Miami. I was curious on how owning and renting properties in different countries work with taxes, financing, currency exchanges, etc. Could you shed some light on what you have found thus far?

Hello Bigger Pockets Community,

My name is Connor Ramage and I am a 22 year originally from south Florida. I have been browsing the bigger pockets website for a couple of weeks and I feel now is the right time for an introduction.

My real estate experience is rather limited. I have my FL real estate salesperson's license and currently in the process of obtaining my New York salesperson's license. I have little experience working under a commercial real estate broker in Naples , Florida. Currently I am working in a small advertising company and looking for opportunities to delve into Real Estate as a full time career, and investment vehicle.

My first question to the Bigger Pockets community is regarding the first time home buyer's mortgage rate. Can someone with previous experience or knowledge on the subject gleam some insight on these practices?

As for my fellow New Yorkers, can anyone recommend a meetup group for a new real estate investor?

Thanks,

Connor
