Thanks Embert. I know many users use "good debt" here. But we're enjoying being debt free as we get ready, learn and plan. I can't wait till that time where capital won't be an issue! :) That's why we're working hard now.

I'll try not to stand on the diving board too long before diving in! Thanks Tyler!

Welcome to BP. Glad to have you on here.

Advice for this site...

1) Set up keywords for your area and interests so that you're notified when they're used and then start interacting.

2) Read through  The Ultimate Beginner's Guide

3) Go through applicable blogs and forums as there are a lot of great resources

Advice for REI...

1) Pick a strategy and study up on what you need to know/do for the 1st step and then do it, then repeat for all following steps until you have completed your first investment then repeat the process and keep learning. (this will help keep you from getting distracted or overwhelmed)

2) Attend look meetups in your area (meetup.com and here for BP meetups) and start connecting with investors.

Just some thoughts. All the best!

Appreciate it Brett! Thank you! Great advice.

Just wanted to say hello! We're currently debt free, saving some working capital to dive into Real Estate. I've been watching the Podcasts, Reading different books to put together a plan. Sometimes I question myself on whether my Fiancé and I want to start of with a SFH(possibly house-hack), Duplex's(live in 1 side for a period of time or not), Flips, ext. Learning about the "BRRR" concepts are a bit uncomfortable to me but I'm just really excited to get started!

We currently Rent in a small Studio in Northern California, being frugal so that we can quickly grow the funds needed to get in comfortably while absorbing as much knowledge as I can.  Thanks for all your guys motivation. I think this is a great website! If you're from Sacramento, CA be sure to say hi!

Also open to any input or thoughts you may have for a newbie.
