@Cody Smith I’m in the St. Louis Area, also very attracted to the world of REI. Currently I’m learning as much as I can before I make the jump to my first investment, But my near future goal is to sell the house I’m currently in and begin a live and flip a few months into 2019. Welcome to BP and good luck on your journey!

@JM Payne I work for an engineering/consulting firm as an electrical designer. It’s a great job with great benefits, I’m just looking so more and think I can with REI.

Hey everybody, I stumbled upon the BP podcast at the beginning of this week and I’m addicted. I can’t stop listening. I’ve never really thought about investing in real estate, but after listening to the success and not so successful stories, I’d like to give it a try, and take action that will benefit my future. The only real estate experience I have is buying my primary residence of about 5 years now, and making minor upgrades to it (flooring, lighting, painting, etc). I also have a real estate agent in the family I plan on getting with and talking about all of this. If I had to pin point it, I’d say flipping a home has my most attention at the moment. Current goals: Educate myself as much as I can through books, meet ups, webinars, and all of the BIggerPockets resources. If anyone has any recommendations on learning material, please send it my way! Near future goals: A few months into 2019 or sooner, I’d like to have purchased my first investment and try to flip a home. Far future goals: Have a handful of flips under my belt and possibly have a few rental properties. The overall goal is of course setting myself up for a better future. I look forward to networking with you all.
