Got an offer accepted on a property, home inspection showed some pretty big concerns, but my realtor says I can’t negotiate further since the seller is selling AS IS?

Is this right? If so any other thoughts/options versus just backing out?

@Stephen Brown and I appreciate that. I know the guy on a personal level. Don’t want to make him look bad or anything too

Appreciate the advice for sure. I’m still torn on the property, I feel like it’s good, but I could also see how I could be getting into something that may be a trap

Offered accepted on what will be a BRRRR deal for me, just had home inspection done today and it's a little worse than I expected.

Any tips on going back to the negotiating table? There are some structural issues, a few sections of floor are rotted, some mold in drywall where there is water possibly leaking down the wall, and a ton of water in the crawlspace that will need some sort of drainage installed

Or should I just walk away from the deal? I would just be out my inspection money and $500 earnest money and I’m not a fan of doing that and upsetting my realtor, but at the same time don’t want to get into a money pit

Thanks in advance for help/advice

@Russell Brazil and that just seems really interesting to me. I called an appraiser today and of course he wouldn’t give me any numbers over the phone, but basically made it seem like as long as it was a professionally installed system he would adjust accordingly towards the good side

@Tanya F. Love it! I love the garden space idea too, I’d love to hear what other ideas and things you’re utilizing that are geared towards green living. That is a true passion of mine and above everything else will be the main driver for me in this business in terms of passion for doing things

So would you say that you realized the financial benefit of it within a year? As far as the depreciation, tax incentive, refund checks that you received?

Getting ready to start on a new BRRRR and I'm getting things lined out. A goal of mine and a big passion is to have solar power on all of my properties, I've always been passionate about helping the planet and this is something that I hope to be able to help do with my rentals. That being said I'm curious of what if any other people's experiences are within that area?

Is it worth it?

Problems you've experienced?

Are the tax incentives worth it?

Do your tenants like it?

Good things that have come of it?

Those are some of the questions I'd have, but would just enjoy hearing experiences from you all out there in BP land? Thanks in advance for sharing and taking the time
