Welcome to the board Dustin,
I am just wondering why your tag line on your website says 'your only source to make thousands'
I think you should aim a bit higher than that,
how about
'your only source to make millions'

just a thought,
Abraham

Does anyone buy anything through ebay?
Does anyone check the listings?

Do you guys not already use investment techniques for your own residential RE purchases?
But thanks to ProHabber for pointing this out!

I think the best thing for you to do is to get a Real Estate License. That will give you all the knowledge you need to start off with. As well, many states have a minimum requirement for the amount of time one must be licensed as an agent before they can become a broker, you would have a head start. So I don't think you should rely on your teammate's license if you personally would ever want to be a broker yourself.

If you wanted to spend more time learning, I would suggest a college level real estate development course. That would give you a big head start and a strong knowledge base to move into the investment field.

I think you should have a choice between AWESOME and IT S@CKS, because thats where I think GMAIL rates. What is cool about gmail is the POP3 access is a free feature.

I'm glad to have helped.
If you do go with commercial, I think small neighborhood shopping centers are a good bet, especially if you can convince a credit tenant to move in. Starbucks, TCBY, ect...
