Thank you! That is some very sound advice. On the podcast they discuss making your search criterion very specific. Whereas in a househack I feel like I should be looking for any kind of small multifamily. Thank you!

 Hey Caleb, Thank you for commenting on my post and sharing about yourself. What parts of Grand Rapids are you focusing on. I feel that I have a general overview of the city, but need to start narrowing my focus down to neighborhoods and communities.  I will also extend that question to @Darryl Matthews and @Sean Sloop as well. Thank you guys for your responses, you have made the daunting task of moving to and learning a new city seem a lot easier!

Hey all, I am a new investor originally from Wisconsin, living in Iowa.  My girlfriend and I will be moving to Grand Rapids this spring.  I am planning on house hacking at first, then build my portfolio from there.

My question to you all would be if you were to start from scratch knowing what you know today, where, how, and why would you invest in the GR area?
