I enjoyed our great, intimate Monday evening dinner and gabfest.

Funny, but not fair:

The picture is not Colorado's James Orr.
Man, what a bizarre story.....

Oops, next time I will give an advanced reply and make it a link.

Guys, I am probably not likely to clean it up the way I want. I think I will just mail it to you Richard and Steve. Give me some feedback and maybe I can get it to the state where I'd go "public."

Also, Richard, that is a GREAT idea about generating a mail list. A step beyond where I was thinking....

@Richard Chang
I suppose for me this is kind of a test run with the expireds. I am an investor with an interest in directly mailing the people thinking maybe they had had enough of waiting on a listing and paying mortgages and property taxes, etc.
There should be a few Bash shells for Windows, though this really needs to be ported when ready. To port it, though, requires me to navigate the learning curve of another, more practical language.
To develop this with Bash does leave me with a working, if silly, model.

@Susan Pompea
I do not think I would have any better luck with the advanced search. I looked at it and figured I was just as good going after it the way I did.
Yes, I do have very many listings to scrape. More to the point, though, I want to have this sort of system in place for lists I compile though "driving for dollars" or through bird dogs.

Steve, let me put a little more work into it. It should at least be cleaned up.
Is it something you could use and appreciate Steve?
Now, I just need the appropriate carrot/stick to port this to Java or Perl or something else more timely.

Awesome, thanks Steve. I don't think anyone can construe this as a site that would promote me....
Yeah, Adco is frustrating the way it operates. Presumably, it is a PITA because their intentions are to stop me doing exactly what I am trying to do.
ASP.NET has this little VIEWSTATE gem. It is rather clunky. I used a Firefox plugin "Live HTTP Headers" to see what data was being passed to the server. I got this VIEWSTATE that seems to work with any request I send. I do not know that it will work forever, but it works for 30 hits or more yesterday and several more just before posting this.
Essentially, I issue the following command line:
curl -s --data "__LASTFOCUS=&__EVENTTARGET=ctl00%24ContentPlaceHolder%24SearchSubmitLink&__EVENTARGUMENT=&__VIEWSTATE=%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%3D&__PREVIOUSPAGE=ETdb1vTosesoLW3GzmyFQjk9mjBG1n9SgA4Zq5Fg_ILwMSToof5J2VymEVMy8THL_OkXfiUZc9zIIeGq4A6_3S_M8GySvOW0uxV9Bhp0a7dUxpNY0&__EVENTVALIDATION=%2FwEWCQLXq7eVAgKB7uHTBgLJxIvkDQLX1rWnCwKf2tz7DALDsLrQBQL49fRXApHvk3kC2OPfpggG22AdnteNGbyDabtg%2BzTpDS3O1g%3D%3D&ctl00%24ContentPlaceHolder%24SearchOptions=Street+Number&ctl00%24ContentPlaceHolder%24SearchInput=5555" "http://www.gis.co.adams.co.us/quicksearch/QuickSearch.aspx"

This forum does not have a "code" tag. It is long and convoluted and should be all one line, but I hope it makes sense. Through all that long snippet, I am really just searching for all "5555" addresses in Adams County. You can see the "5555" there near the end. Change it to any number you wish, and it will return all matches for your number.
From here one needs just sed or even more simply grep out the line containing their full street address.
I think it is great that I got it to do this, as messy as it is.
I thank you guys for the attention you gave me on this, my first thread.

Richard, there seems to be no direct way to get the parcel by full street address.
The system wants the street number first, then you are presented with a list of full addresses starting with that number in Adam's County. From here it is child's play to sed or grep it out.
I did have a breakthrough and have solved the problem. I have a rather long string of data that I have to pass. I would like to share it, but if I post it here will I get yelled at for posting a URL?

No, Richard. I don't have the parcel number beforehand.
I am working only on the street address. I want to access the county's information for the name and mailing address, when different from prop address.
The issue is that ASP.NET or aspx, which this site uses, is thwarting my efforts.
I have as a contrarily easy example Jefferson County Colorado where I can drill down simply through the URL, which it looks like what you are talking about.
It looks, though, as I will have to GET and POST with this site and am studying up on how to do it with cURL.

Thank you Richard for your attention.

Mike, I have done this sort of "programming" a bit, but I think you may have heard it being more glorious than it is.
I merely want to get information from a command line, information than can be had on the internet. This way I can include it in scripts, to automate.
No, I do not have MLS access, but I have found renav to be an absolutely awesome resource.
