And just to follow up, Steadily just sent our non-renewal notice. Hope this info helps.

So overall, the process worked as it should have. Steadily assigned an agent to work with me initially when I was in the process of researching insurance companies. This agent was very responsive in the beginning. We texted back and forth, and he responded to all my questions promptly. He provided PDFs of the quotes. I didn't know the name of the company they ultimately signed to us (they are more of a broker) until I looked it up in the escrow section of my lender's login. That said, the only difficulties were minor. For example, my previous insurance company wanted a document to prove back dating (so as to not be paying for two insurances at once) as I had to wait for visual inspections to confirm insurance coverage. Steadily agent said that's common, but my previous insurance agent wanted something more than just a PDF of the quotes. There was some awkward dialogue about that 'not making any sense'. No biggie. All that got settled. My experience with the claim was about what one would expect. I did, however, try to reach out to the same Steadily agent (thinking he would have some advice before filing a claim) and he never responded. So, I filed the claim on their website and after submission there was a brief message and a phone number. After a few days I called to confirm that they received my submission. The woman stated that there was a person assigned to my claim and gave me a phone number to call. I called and the gentlemen stated the name of their insurance company and that there was an adjuster that would call me. The adjuster called me and stated that as they were out of state there would be a third-party local adjuster in the next state performing the walk through and writing up the settlement details. Once they received this information, I received the settlement letter via email. The amount was way low (less than half of the ultimate amount), however, I put the contractor in touch with adjuster for follow-up as that was more efficient and he had more experience with claims. I was actually very content with the follow-up after the contractor communicated directly with the adjuster. All is well currently. It did take quite a bit longer than expected. I did receive lost rent for most of the vacancy that resulted from the repairs. My advice would be to not assume anything, get things in writing and follow up often. Don't be rude but do be persistent as it may take more time and effort than one would expect. So in sum, after submitting the claim I exclusively dealt with the insurance company that Steadily bound to us. They were mostly great. Only time will tell how our premiums are impacted. Nothing yet to report there.

I'm in the process of submitting a claim to Steadily Insurance. I'll let you know my findings.
