So I found this empty lot and looked it up on the county website and saw that they owed over $30,000 in taxes. My question how would someone go about pursuing the land if the land is only worth $13,000? The properties already in that neighborhood are going for big money not to mention the price for the new builds going up.

I haven't been in contact with the owner yet but is there a strategy that can be used here? Would other investors even be interested in this lot for a wholesale deal?

Thank you in advance.

Welcome Jason!

It's cool to see someone closer to my age that has the similar interest as I do in real estate. @Doug Vigliano made a great point that you don't see a lot of people in their 20s wanting to invest in real estate. But congratulations and good luck on your journey in this real estate game. I do live in the Dallas area so you if you'd like to connect feel free to add me as a colleague. Good luck!

Patrick,

Thank you for replying and my plan is to start with wholesaling and fix and flips.

Hello everybody,

I am in Dallas, Texas and I have recently been approved for a loan that guarantees 30,000 in credit and if some other things fall through then I can maybe receive more double that amount. My question or questions are what do I now? What is the next step that I should take? Could I partner with a local real estate investor? Or should I use the credit to finally get my first deal?

Your advice is greatly appreciated.
