I don't need a mortgage so do I still need the mortgage professional? I would think I'd need a good Realtor. People used to bring me their samples and then tell me how to analyze them, sometimes with what would have been fatal results. I learned from that never to pretend to know more than the pros. Now I am no longer the pro, I'm the new guy, so I need to listen and learn. The math I'm used to won't help me here. Chemistry won't help me here. I only mentioned my previous life to show how far out of my area I am now. If I need a mortgage pro, how would I find them? Or how do I find a Realtor who works with small start-ups? If I need a partner how would I find them? What would those of you who know this field do if you only had 50K and a desire to work?

Love this site and the people on it!

I recently retired from a job in chemistry and I want to start flipping houses but I don't have enough money to get anyone's attention. I've spoken to Realtors and Wholesalers but no one has what I need, which is a really cheap fixer-upper. No, what I really need is a Realtor who knows more than I do and can tell me if a house I select would be a smart move, ie would it re-sell. A partner? Passive investment? I don't know but I've been energetically going on circles for the past couple of weeks. As a Chemist, I'm used to knowing my field but now I'm totally in the dark. Any advise?
