Didn't mean to put the word "full" in front of "points."

Hopefully this is in the correct forum. Not much directly correlated with "credit."

I know that full points can gey shaved off if your FICO score when someone pulls your credit score. Was just curious as to how long does it take to regain those points? Also, what is the difference between a hard and a soft pull?

Thanks in advance!

@Clark Kirkpatrick

Im actually reading "Rich Dad Poor Dad" now. Ill look into the other book you mentioned also. I recently bought a few BP books that i haven't read yet. The podcasts are great too. Im not even stressing the whole learning process because not only is it essential but I am 110% positive that when the time is right, I will begin and will be super successful. Just need to not be eager and make sure I know what I am doing, built network, etc. My job pays me well enough where saving even more money will not be an issue. After I finish both books you suggested, ill let you know what i thought. Thanks alot!

@Judy P.

Thanks for you response. This community has been so welcoming, it is remarkable.

What would be a couple "Bigger Pockets" books you would recommend for a true beginner?

@David Michael I will definitely take you up on that if you don't mind. Thank you!

@Clark Kirkpatrick thank you for your insight. I appreciate it. Any particular podcasts that are more beginner friendly? Ones that won't sound so much of a second language to me? Ive educated myself a fair amount the past few months in terms of "the basics." Aside from that, it is all brand new.

I am only about to give a quick background to emphasize the hunger that I have. I celebrated three years clean and sober in May. I lost my sister to drug addiction and I have struggled for a decade, since i was in my teens. For the past two years I have worked in the treatment industry and I just moved back to New Jersey to take an operational position with a new facility. Will be making great money.

So to my point - I have been doing my own real estate investment research for the last couple of months and  I'm going to educate myself for the next couple of years until i have networked and obtained a full understanding of the industry. I'm finally in a place where  I don't have anything stopping me from achieving my goals.

I am asking for any sort of advice. Anything at all.  Prioritizing topics to research, mistakes you made etc.

thanks in advance and sorry for the drawn out post. I hate when people talk alot 😕
