Seeking advice from seasoned investors: I have an unusual question regarding repairs for turning around a unit to get ready to rent. Does anyone have recommendations for a DIY floor repair or know of the best expert for flooring repairs? Ideally I do not want to replace floors throughout the entire unit just yet.
Additionally, has anyone encountered issues with the pull-up handle ledger on window sash cracks? Any ideas on how to repair these two items would be greatly appreciated. New Investor first property

Hi All! My name is Danuel Carter, and I'm excited to share with you about my journey into house hacking in Greensboro, NC. First and foremost, I want to emphasize that I don't claim to know everything about real estate investing, but I'm eager to learn and grow throughout this process. I've been immersing myself in reading and research from platforms like BiggerPockets, which has provided me with valuable insights and knowledge.
Currently, I work as an IT Analyst at Cone Health, where I have gained valuable experience in my field. In addition to my day job, I also run a DJ business in North Carolina, catering to wedding couples and creating memorable experiences for them. However, I've realized that relying solely on my job and business won't lead me to financial freedom in the long run.
That's why I've decided to embark on a new venture as a real estate broker with eXp since 2022. It allowed me the opportunity to expand my knowledge of the industry while also building a network of like-minded professionals. My ultimate goal is to invest in multi-family units, as I believe they offer a great opportunity to accelerate my journey to financial freedom.
To kickstart this exciting chapter, I have taken the necessary steps to get pre-approved for a mortgage. I'm actively searching for deals and diligently running the numbers to ensure I make informed investment decisions. While I may encounter challenges along the way, I'm prepared to face them head-on and learn from each experience.
I'm thrilled to see where this house hacking journey takes me and how it transforms my financial future. I'm ready to take action, seize opportunities, and continue educating myself throughout this process. It's all about growth, learning, and working towards achieving the financial freedom I aspire to.
Happy Investing Everyone!
