I'm new here, and just getting started with REI myself. I'm facing a similar situation.

I really like the comments from @Evelyn Roper, and my wife and I are looking at that side of things. 

Meanwhile, we are also going to talk to some finance people, and get their opinion of what we can, and can't do from our position. I'll let you know how that goes.

Hello BiggerPockets Community!

My wife Maran and I have long held an interest in Real Estate Investing, and have also known that my background in Construction (estimating and project management) could be a good fit with what's needed to be successful.

I'm here on her recommendation to make my own connections and learn from the community how I might best leverage my experience, while still being humble enough to realize I'm a newbie at this, and have a lot to learn.

Thanks in advance for being there as a resource, and especially to those folks who have already connected with Maran and helped us get our feet on the ground.
