Hey @David Caddy

I understand your frustration, and that's why I encourage beginners to set realistic expectations from day one. It seems like you are overwhelmed by the uncertainties.

Reach out and lets jump on a quick call. Would love to help!

When can we get on a call, and how would I contact you?

Quote from @Joel Bongco:

@David Caddy -  Wow!  I wish I got into Real Estate when I was 17!  On the other hand, it's going to be hard at 17 to convince a homeowner to sign a contract.  Not that its impossible, you'll have better chances partnering with someone in your local market that has some experience and is willing to mentor you.  Here are a few options: 1.  Target Distressed Homeowners -  there are over 600+ pre-foreclosures in Miami 2. Attend some local REIAS -  being a newbie -  Seasoned REIs will assess if you are a viable bird/dog or apprentice 3.  Find a mentor -  someone who will provide you with the credibility when you lead generate with homeowners.  HTHS!

Thanks I appreciate the genuine advice!

I've always known BP to be a place to come for all things real estate. And so here I am on the forums to look for help. I'm 17 and have been trying to do outbound lead generation, and safe to say, it's been a horrible experience. Everyone says pull "absentee owner" pull "tax delinquent" pull "tired landlord" and the list goes on. These never work, most the time they are on the DNC list. They don't answer at all, no valid phone numbers, or they pick up and curse me out, like I said the list goes on. I want get into real estate, and I don't have a lot of money as a 17 year old and I've been using all my resources to do it for free. I just need help, please don't leave vague advice.
