@Preston Dean

I want to property manage, but to do so I need experience

This is what I told from some googling

In Minnesota, renting and managing property are considered real estate activities under the law. As such, those engaged in these practices are required to have a valid real estate broker license. This includes listing property, negotiation, drafting rental agreements, or collecting money.

New to BP, but have been looking into trying to house hack while I grow the capital for it (student/work) . Have done tons of research into taking loans etc, but probably settling on getting 20% DP and 6 months worth of monthly costs (maintenance/mortgage/utilities).

Started looking to my state laws and saw I need 3 years experience to even get a MN broker license and was wondering how I should go about that.

Does that mean I have to sell houses or is there a way to become an employee under an existing property manager?
