Thanks Daniel! I'm new to the game so I much appreciate the heads up and an opportunity to meet likeminded folks from around the area. I hope to make it to the next meetup

Looking to meet up with some enthusiastic real estate investors in the Raleigh, Apex, Cary NC area. I’m an enthusiastic newbie to the game and would love to just talk shop, learn, and form some professional relationships along the way.

Thank you all for the response. @Bob Woelfel I completely understand what you mean. I also am very aware that wholesaling is something that takes hard work, grit, and consistency to even have slight success. It’s somewhat hard to explain my personal situation professionally but I can tell you that my current work situation, although something I would like to transition out of, provides me with a LOT of days off. In fact, I get about 13 weeks of vacation a year. I also work a lot of nights in which I basically I have 12 hours during the day to fill with anything I need to. This is the point that’s my wholesaling buddy pointed out could possibly be the window into something new. For now I’m going to spend my time learning and networking and if an opportunity arises I’m not going to hesitate to take a chance.

I’ve gotten to the point in my career that I am unsatisfied every time I show up because I thrive for more. It’s a very lucrative job but I have the urge to slowly transition out of it and every time I brainstorm ideas, I always come back to the world of real estate. I’ve made some very good real estate decisions in the past but no formal experience in the game of truly investing. I have a friend who is very good at the art of the wholesale and he loves everything about it. If I was to make the transition (while still currently working a full time job), does this community think it would be a reasonable place to start? I know that networking and learning the trade is really precedent before delving into it but I’m just looking for tips. I luckily have a brother who is on the same mindset as myself and wants to join forces and attack it full on. The question is where to start, outside of just learning, networking, and continuous podcast listening. Much rambling but I’m excited to the point of losing sleep over starting a new venture.
