Hello,
I live in the Northern New Jersey area and I came across a few rental properties that I am interested in purchasing. However, I am looking for a mortgage lender and having some difficulty. I am totally new at this and don’t know how to select a really good one. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks!
Regards,
David

Hi Tarik,
Thanks. Actually, I watched Brandon Turner's seminar on Evaluating Properties and Making Offers over the weekend, so I was able to see the mistakes I made. Now, I know what my target numbers are and what I need to look for.
Thanks again for getting back to me!

Hi Everyone,
I'm about to take the big leap and buy my first rental property and I've ran into a problem. You see, I would like to buy a single-family home to rent out. However, I am torn between making it a straight rental or use the BRRRR strategy, live in it for 12-18 months while I fix it up, refinance it and then rent it out. I signed up for Bigger Pockets Pro and calculated my numbers to see if they work out for me going forward or are they just bad deals.
I am going to start looking at properties to buy this weekend and was wondering if anyone would like to take a look at a few reports I’ve done. I would love to know if there is some or plenty of mistakes in my calculations, or am I just not knowing what I am doing. Just let me know and I would be glad to send you links to two properties I evaluated and currently looking at. Any help or criticisms would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Regards,
David

Hi there,
I am new to the Bigger Pockets community and come from a legal assistant and entrepreneurial background. I am new to real estate and now in the process of following-up leads for some great entry-level positions with respect to analysis, agencies, commercial real estate, data-entry, legal and property management.
I have a resume to send to employers, but I don’t feel that it is catered for a real estate position. Is there any way someone would be able to take a look at my resume and comment on how I can tune it to make it more real estate specific?
I would love to show an employer how my abilities, experience and skills could add value to them, and why I would be a great fit for a position in their company.
I live in the NYC/NJ metropolitan area, but any help would be great. If you would like to see my resume, please contact me and I would be glad to send it to you directly.
Thank you for your help!
David

Hello,
I am new to real estate and I find it very fascinating. I have read books, done online courses from iTunes and would like to learn more by working in a real estate office environment. I find commercial and residential properties very interesting, and live in the NYC/NJ metropolitan area. I am eager to learn more with real hands-on experience; so I was curious on what kind of entry-level position would I need to look for? Thank you, David.
